Soil Mixing Techniques
Soil mixing techniques are used for the construction of soil-cement elements. This involves breaking up the prevailing soil matrix and mixing it in-situ with the self-hardening slurry. The shape of the soil-cement element is determined by the various mixing tools used. Possible forms of construction are single columns or rectangular panels. A continuous soil mixing wall is constructed by installing overlapping elements in an alternating sequence. Soil mixing techniques have a wide range of applications and offer cost-effective solutions.
